Definitions beside the data.
Understand the archive’s scope, the formulas behind the charts, and the limits of the information shown across IPOKit.
Archive coverage
The IPOKit database is a curated collection of seven U.S.-listed IPOs: Arm and Instacart in 2023; Astera Labs, Reddit, and Rubrik in 2024; and Circle and Figma in 2025. The earliest announced first-trading date is September 14, 2023; the latest is July 31, 2025. The selection is illustrative rather than exhaustive and is not a recommendation or performance-ranked universe.
Each profile points to an issuer pricing announcement. These announcements describe the terms at pricing and the anticipated trading date. The archive is not a continuously updated record of all subsequent events, corporate actions, security changes, or market prices.
Base offering size
Base gross offering size = historical offer price × base securities offered. The calculation includes both issuer securities and existing-holder securities in the announced base transaction. It excludes the additional-share option and does not subtract underwriting discounts, commissions, or expenses.
The chart uses this definition consistently. A larger bar describes a larger base transaction in dollars. It does not mean a company has a larger market capitalization, stronger financial performance, greater IPO returns, or better investment prospects.
Issuer proceeds and secondary shares
Gross issuer proceeds = historical offer price × company-issued securities. Existing-holder sales belong to the transaction size but do not automatically provide new proceeds to the company. Net proceeds require the applicable fee and expense information and are not estimated here.
Arm’s base offering in this collection consisted of ADSs sold by an existing shareholder; its gross issuer-proceeds figure in this archive is therefore zero. Astera Labs’ base transaction included both primary and secondary securities. The profiles explain these distinctions and link the source.
Prices, currencies, and security units
All stored prices are historical offer prices in U.S. dollars. They are not current quotes, first trades, closing prices, or investment recommendations. Offered security counts are the announced base quantities. For Arm, the pricing release defines one ADS as representing one ordinary share; the other profile security descriptions appear beside their terms.
Chart labels use rounded millions or billions for readability. The CSV and JSON files preserve the full base counts and calculated dollar amounts. Rounding a display label does not change the underlying arithmetic.
Dates and listing milestones
The archive separately records the pricing-announcement date and the announced first-trading date. It does not substitute the offering closing date for the expected trading date. Arm’s webpage label and announcement dateline differ; its profile explains which date the archive uses.
The calendar is historical. The recent-IPO page means newest within this collection. The upcoming-IPO page provides a source-verification workflow rather than a verified forward schedule. These labels should not be read as a claim that IPOKit tracks all current offerings.
Return examples and rankings
The return explorer uses explicitly fictional offer, opening, and closing prices. It calculates price return as (end price ÷ start price − 1) × 100. No distributions, corporate actions, execution costs, taxes, or transaction fees are modeled.
IPOKit does not publish an actual performance leaderboard because this package does not contain the adjusted historical prices needed to support one. The top-performing IPO page explains how a defensible comparison would define its universe, baseline, measurement period, benchmark, and missing data.
Sources and corrections
Issuer announcements support the historical terms. The data-sources directory provides direct links. Educational articles use one selected editorial source in each body and use clearly described hypothetical examples to explain the arithmetic.

Using the downloadable archive
The CSV and JSON contain the same seven company records as the pages. Preserve the source URL and date definitions when you reuse a record. Do not label a static export as live market data.
